The Small Scale Miners Association of Zambia is a national membership-based organisation dedicated to promoting, protecting and advancing the interests of artisanal and small-scale miners throughout Zambia.
We serve as the collective voice of miners, working to create a sector that is formalised, safe, productive, environmentally responsible and economically empowering.

Small-scale mining plays a vital role in Zambia's economy by creating employment, supporting livelihoods and contributing to local development. SSMAZ exists to help miners overcome challenges such as limited access to finance, licensing difficulties, safety risks, technical gaps and environmental management concerns.
